Albert House Nursing Home is situated close to the Weston-super-Mare seafront. We strive to give each of our residents a positive life, full of respect, dignity and kindness: their comfort, their choices and their happiness are the constant priorities of this family-run care home.
“Will my loved one be safe in Albert House Nursing Home?”
It is a question now being asked and unfortunately there are no guaranteed answers. Nursing homes are a collection of people living and working in a relatively confined space — when COVID-19 gets into such an environment it has proven to be deadly. Watch the news or Government advice to understand the risk and also the fear created by this virus. However, none of our Residents has had Covid and we battle to keep it that way. However we keep the Home open as much as possible. We allow inside visits for End of Life Relatives and special cases. Right now we allow outside visits for all but distanced as per Government rules.
Every resident and staff member in Albert House has been tested and found negative. We will continue to do our best to prevent the virus coming into the home. We “barrier nurse” new residents for 14 days, though this may be adjusted depending on the person’s history of testing or shielding. Please call us and we will be happy to discuss any questions you may have on this or any other financial or health- related issues.
