Avon Owls brought owls including a Barn Owl for the Residents to see and hold.  Animals always do well with our Residents and you can see from the pictures that the owls spellbound everyone.

I think our Residents enjoyed the Olympics, they were certainly on the TV a fair amount. We also had plenty of our own Olympics with prizes and medals for winning the different sports, well done all.

2 days of glorious sunshine, we took out 13 Residents with the help of some relations, a big thank you to those who helped. We saw the Red Arrows, Spitfires, a P-51 Mustang and lastly the Black Knights – The Royal Artillery Parachute Team. What fun these 2 days have been. The Residents really enjoy

Bastille Day is a day of celebrations of French culture. So this gives us a great excuse to join in. We had a selection of French cheeses to try and of course French Wines. Plus canapes with cheese and pate.

Moved to the 5th of July due a clash with the singer. We went all American for the day, with hot dogs and burgers.

Residents love the sun and some sit outside for hours.

George has Parkinson’s but here he is playing a jigsaw game on the touch screen computer, which is quite remarkable and shows how important games can be.

Current flavour of the day…cupcakes, plus Bruce sings his great songs from the past.
