Fun at Christmas again, all those lovely decorations (the front entrance  looked so special). Thanks to all the staff for putting up the decorations and the relatives for coming and making the day so special for the Residents.

Our annual firework display. We provided some snacks and drinks for all and we had staff families and relatives coming in to watch. The fireworks were good, many very low.

Walking the park. We took some to Clarence Park with ice cream from Oliver’s, the shop in the Park.

Bruce sang a range of special of songs from films and shows e.g. wandering star from paint your wagon etc.

Due to the weather this was changed to Oakham Treasures near Wraxall. I have been there many times and love it, a truly underrated Somerset tourist location. Its so interesting to see so many products from the last 100 years including foods, drinks, cigarettes etc. This was then followed by a lovely

2 visits – the Weston Airday and Weston Beer Festival. We wheeled many of the Residents to these excellent events and with the fantastic July weather they were much appreciated. Hic!

Wasn’t quite all it was cracked up to be as we have no German Residents, the results weren’t quite wanted.

Sausages and 1/4Ib burgers, they were much appreciated.
