Summer Garden Party – 13th July 2014 3pm
Sadly the Queen didn’t attend but all enjoyed an Albert House Garden Party with cake, sandwiches and tea.
Rocking Round the Christmas Tree – 26th Dec 2013 4pm
Olive Tree theater entertained again. The 2 young ladies are already great favourites of the Residents. They involve the audience and are wonderful singers, we all look forward to seeing them soon.
Christmas Lunch – Wednesday 25th December 2013
Turkey and all the trimmings, the staff made this a great event, thanks 🙂
Remembrance Sunday – Sunday 10th November 2013
Many Residents will have poppies and watch the remembrance ceremonies on TV. They have also made and painted some remembrance poppies to be put out on the day.
Annual Fireworks Display – 5th Nov 2013 at 5.30pm
Zip Zang’s and Roman Fountains….yes the Residents and visitors loved the display and accompanying special feast cooked so ably by Michael and Jake. The display took 20 minutes to fire off. We had many visiting children who are always welcomed by the Residents.
Memory Touring Musical Show – 4th Nov 2013
Sadie who usually works away on cruise ships came to the home to sing for our Residents. She sang the greats including tributes to Judy Garland, Gene Kelly, Frank Sinatra, Marilyn Monroe, Doris Day, The King and I, The Sound of Music, My Fair Lady, Shirley Bassey, Tom Jones, Cliff Richard, The Carpe
Halloween – Wednesday 31st October 2013
As always we celebrate this spooky day, its a favourite of the staff and they pass their enthusiasm on to the Residents. The Residents always make ghostly items. This year was great because of the fantastic face masks painted by Natasha and Ashleigh, real talent, so a big thank you.
Olive Tree Theatre Presents ‘Sing as we go’ – Tuesday 22nd October 2013
Oh this was really good, we have invited them back, scheduled for 26th Dec. Great old songs included ‘This is the Army Mr Jones’ and ‘Don’t sit under the apple tree’.

RSPCA Dog Show – 18th August 2013 2pm
Went to see the dog show, was fun. Dogs everywhere and we could pet some, plus tea and cakes. Here we can be seen on our way back after seeing the dog show.

Hydration is paramount for elderly people. Unfortunately, the thirst sensation diminishes as you get older, so it becomes increasingly difficult for elderly people to realize they are becoming dehydrated. It is therefore really important to give them drink options. Albert House now has 6 dispen
